Anyway...This is the cover art for my first mini comic and my first sequential project in my true, original style, which will be done in time for the Birmingham International Comics Show this October.

Another Hurricane Kids character, the powerhouse Mister Minus (NOT Mr. Minus). This is the modern day version of him. Like my previous post, the black chunks at the top and bottom were more for design purposes and less a reflection of any lighting.

I'm working on my first graphic novel. Its called Nocturnal and I'm writing and illustrating/coloring it. I hope to have it done by spring next year and will most likely self publish it. The story involves a gravedigger named Lincoln Basher. Think of a mix of the x-files meets Blade in the 1950's. Here is a wip of the cover so far. I'll be providing updates regularly.

Some character designs for The Hurricane Kids from last year. Last night I decided to try out some new hair styles for Sarah's character, only to realize I like the way I've been drawing it for the last 5 years still the best. That's the funny thing about me and character design is that I am almost always happy with my first try, and rarely, very rarely on a creator owned book have I had to do multiple takes. Maybe that's a flaw, who knows...




*also, I'll be taking the weekend off most likely, but I'll be back on Monday.

Mister Minus, of The Hurricane Kids. The way I draw this character changed dramatically after seeing the pin-up the great Mike Hawthorne drew of him for the self published Hurricane Kids #0 book back in 2005.
