I forgot to save a low-res line art for page 6, so here is the toned one, plus page 7.

Another fun evening playing with watercolors, I have decided to do some commission stuff with the water color work so i can afford more paint, and not use my kids paint.:) Check out my blog if you want to get some paintings done:)

Cody - 043

Here is a low-res sample of what the final pages will look like for my 24-Hr comic. Zips and better lettering make all the difference.

Here are some from last night, I wanted to try another tea bag method, but my green tea didn't stain my page enough so I broke out my kids water colors and threw those down. Also just sketching really fast helps me to move along, but at the same time grow a little.

Final pages will be re-lettered and toned.

Cody - 040 - 24 Hour Comic pt1.

I did these during 24 hour comics day.

The cover will be touched up to fix the bad pose and logo, and the pages will be digitally toned and re-lettered prior to publication. Here is an example of what the finished tones will look like.

24 Hour Comics day is tomorrow and I've been wanting to do it for a few years so this time I'm taking the plunge. Here are some sketches and the template for my pages I printed up.

Cody - 038

A quick Dark Knight sketch that took longer to fill in the blacks and color than sketch. I read Volume 1 of All Star Batman and Robin last night and it made me really miss Miller's The Dark Knight. He did it so much better 22 years ago.

My 2 favorite panels from a page I did early last year. On my blog I posted another little process shot of how I worked on these pages.

Cody - 035

Random page from early 2007, for a project that I was super excited about, that never happened. Writer, publisher and project were great though.

Another from reference. I am practicing while I can.
My shading sucks, I love hard lines and straight edges.

Pose from reference, hence the awkwardness.

Sorry for the delay went back to penciling on paper, and have been missing it.
I have been pretty busy over the last weeks, getting ready for a photo shot with My Bloody Valentine and etc. Ended up losing some hearing.
(Note this went on for 15 + mins, I didn't wear my recomended ear plugs.)

this is the finished shit that never went to print, I don't know why

The sketch

This one is a concept on something Grant and I are working on

I used reference here, trying to go back to learning again, I lost so much Exp.

Another costume concept (Grant and I project)

I was asked a while ago to do a cover for our weeky magazine, I rejected it, but did this concept in 10 mins. www.nuvo.net
