Oh I forgot I can directly upload to blogger from the host and not from my flickr. Since I deleted my last flickr, my account is full, I have to buy another pro account one of these days. I also did this really fast, and recorded the screen while I was doing it, but the video came out messed up. I need to find a better screen capture program.

Today's SJ is a couple older character designs I did back in 2006 probably, on a project with a writer and friend. It never worked out, as did the other project we worked on together, but I'm sure one day we may do something. He's currently in an editor position so all of his creator-owned stuff has taken a back seat for now. The designs were fun though, and right up my alley.

Okay, so I may be stupid, but I just figured out that I can alter the pen pressure sensitivity for my wacom in PS and Flash. The lines still look cleaner in Flash of course, so I digitally inked this bit of Alan Davis and added some colors with a custom PS brush. It was fun if not a great inking job.

Another Hurricane Kids character, the powerhouse Mister Minus (NOT Mr. Minus). This is the modern day version of him. Like my previous post, the black chunks at the top and bottom were more for design purposes and less a reflection of any lighting.
Salinas-003 updated color
I'm working on my first graphic novel. Its called Nocturnal and I'm writing and illustrating/coloring it. I hope to have it done by spring next year and will most likely self publish it. The story involves a gravedigger named Lincoln Basher. Think of a mix of the x-files meets Blade in the 1950's. Here is a wip of the cover so far. I'll be providing updates regularly.
